« Devant le tableau, je joue avec les rapports d’échelle. Addition, soustraction, jeu de figures… L’image est construction. C’est le chemin de la multiplication des allers-retours où se conçoit un équilibre entre le langage et l’envie de créer le miroir d’une réalité. « Posé entre ces deux célébrations, le paysage, dans l’équilibre des deux versants, entre Nature-Nature et Nature- Artifice, usant de toutes les ressources d’une « stylistique ordinaire », construit par le langage en miroir de la nature qu’il trahit et donne à voir, marque ce point singulier où se joignent la raison et la croyance, l’aller de soi et ses plis. »
L’arbre est l’icône choisi. J’entretiens l’idée qu’il s’agit d’une chose étrange, un organisme d’une grande complexion signifiant à la fois l’ordre et le chaos. Cette idée m’amène à concevoir la peinture de paysage comme une porte ouverte sur un monde à construire. Mes tableaux sont le témoignage de l’expérience du corps dans l’espace avec, en apparence, une disposition choisie d’éléments se rapportant à un lieu. »

The tree is the chosen icon. I hold the belief that the tree is a strange thing, a highly complex organism that signifies at once order and chaos. This idea brings me to conceive of landscape painting as an open door to a world under construction. My pieces bear witness to the experience of the body in space with a carefully chosen set of elements that tie it to a specific place.”
